First Impressions
It’s really cool being able to get my hands on some Jungle Boys genetics and especially their live rosin form of it! This Zacks Pie is a legendary varietal made from crossing two iconic strains and was originally bred by Jungle Boys so this jar is going to hit hard. It looks good and has a nice aroma off a first glance so lets dab this one and see how it fairs…Cheers!
Genetics and Terpenes
The Zacks Pie strain is a cross of Wedding Cake and Grape Pie that is a balanced 50/50 hybrid. The dominant terpenes are limonene and b-caryophyllene and this batch is 5.41% in total terpenes.
Looks and Consistency
This rosin is on the darker amber spectrum of rosin but looks super terpy and wet. It was a good doughy consistency that was easily pliable.
Scent
Sweet earthy and cake aromas are heavy with a slight grape fruity undertone when agitating the rosin with a dab tool.
Taste
The flavor gets very savory with a doughy Wedding Cake flavor on the inhale and a slightly spicy berry flavor on the exhale. The only thing I wished was that the Grape Pie flavors came through more, but regardless the flavor was smooth and enjoyable.
Effects
Medicinally for me this strain was relaxing and calming but didn’t necessarily tie me down to the couch. The initial wave mellowed me out completely, leaving me without a care in the world. Keeping me moving on my feet and relatively pain free, this is the type of medicine I could use any time of the day to treat a multitude of ailments.
Final Thoughts
Due to its versatility, I really enjoyed this Zacks Pie because it really tailored to the type of vibe I needed for whatever moment I was in. In the morning time, it got me out of bed to start my day off before heading to work, and it was waiting for me when I got home to destress from the day while kicking back chilling and listening to music.
