First Impressions
I recently was recommended the Cherry Chem strain from District Cannabis and have been on the lookout for it ever since, and while I couldn’t find the flower version I can’t say I'm disappointed that I found this cured batter at District Cannabis in Hagerstown. This isn’t specific to just Cherry Chem but I love that District Cannabis has a customized sticker for each of their strains. It's the little things that add up… Cheers!
Genetics and Terpenes
The Cherry Chem strain is an indica dominant hybrid that is the result of crossing Cherry Pie and Chem 2.0. The dominant terpenes are b-caryophyllene and humulene. This batch is 11.77% in total terpenes.
Looks and Consistency
This extract boasts a vibrant reflective hue with a wet, smooth, and highly viscous texture. When settled in its jar, the batter forms a rich amber pool with slightly lighter, translucent edges.
Scent
The aroma is pretty much as the name implies. At first I notice tart cherry aromas that are fighting with the chemical kind of cleaner smell that gives this jar a really complex but also somehow a straightforward scent.
Taste
Each dab gives off less Cherry and more of the Chem flavor all around but still a sweet chemical taste sits on my tongue.
Effects
Staying remarkably true to its indica-hybrid roots, I found Cherry Chem to be the ultimate evening companion. With a calming and pain free way to it that was perfect for loosening up my joints and easing tension in my muscles it was perfect for settling down. The high sets with a deeply relaxing wave, providing me with a mellow unwind that felt perfectly suited for ending the night off.
Final Thoughts
We love taking recommendations because it ends up leading to some spectacular finds. This Cherry Chem is a prime example of what quality cannabis concentrates should look like at an affordable price. From its stunning, glossy golden appearance to the complex clash of tart cherry and heavy Chem flavors, it completely won me over and is why we’re giving it the Certified Stoners Stamp of Approval, this jar, or any variant of this strain will absolutely be worth hunting down!
