First Impressions
Let me just say my first impressions on paper aren’t going to capture my excitement to try this Red Zushi Live Rosin cultivated and squished by Evermore that I got at Story Cannabis in Mechanicsville. Evermore’s rosin is fire, with other notable favorites of mine being the Orange Drizzle cultivar, but I think this Red Zushi wins the race when it comes to my new favorite. The terps coming out of this jar are special and already have my mouth watering for a dab. Cheers! 🔴🍣
Genetics and Terpenes
The Red Zushi strain is a result of crossing the Yellow Zushi and Strawberry Meltshake strains that results in a balanced 50/50 hybrid. The dominant terps are limonene and beta-caryophyllene and this batch is 8.26% in total terpenes.
Looks and Consistency
This rosin isn’t necessarily dripping wet with terp puddles, but it's also far from dried out. The consistency is pliable and formable, and the rosin doesn't just crumble up. It's a dough-like texture that allows me to take easy dosed scoops of the beautiful cream colored rosin.
Scent
Heavy on the Strawberry Meltshake side of its genetics. At least it seems that way because the aroma is a heavy creamy strawberry and berry scent with a slight floral undertone. Regardless, its scent is potent, fills the room quick, and is so enticing.
Taste
The flavor is to die for, translating really well from the aroma. It’s heavy on the strawberry and berry flavors on the inhale with a smooth, creamy and still strawberry tasting exhales. The super sweet flavor also lingers for a while after my dab leaving such a good impression.
Effects
The effects hit me fast and were pretty cerebral at first. Pinpointing a pressure in between my eyebrows, this mental uplifting effect turned more to peaceful clarity as the rest of my body settled into a long lasting relaxation. For a strain that's a balanced hybrid, I still get pretty sedated, not wanting to move at times with the legs to last on this one.
Final Thoughts
I ended up getting an extra gram of this Red Zushi live rosin because it’s so damn good. It’s one of those save for a rainy day jars that sit in the rosin fridge just begging to come out. Cheers to Evermore on this one, I can’t wait to see what concentrates can top this one come 2026. For now, I’ll be dabbing on this Red Zushi so grab it from a Story Cannabis Dispensary if its still available because it’s getting the Certified Stoner Stamp of Approval, you won’t regret this one!
