First Impressions
I’ve been on a serious gas kick lately, so when I saw this batch of Chem Rider cultivated by Kynd over at AYR, I knew I had to grab a bag. I am always on the hunt for strains that deliver a massive, savory punch to the palate to share with you all and this bag is packed with those savory, chemical and gassy terpenes after cracking the seal. I couldn't wait to roll up a fat doink, and see just how heavy this ride was really going to be... Cheers!
Genetics and Terpenes
The Chem Rider strain is indica dominant and the result of crossing GMO and Chem D I-95. The dominant terpenes are limonene and myrcene. This batch is 1.96% in total terpenes.
Looks and Structure
These are some incredibly dense and chunky nugs. The flower featured a beautiful mix of light and dark forest greens, highlighted by tight orange pistils. True to its heavy-hitting genetics, the buds were completely caked in a frosty, sticky layer of white crystal and amber trichomes that left my fingers totally coated in resin after breaking it down.
Scent
Mainly heavy aromas of chemical diesel and savory garlic funk. Underneath that heavy GMO stank, the limonene really pushed through, providing a sharp, sour citrus bite that beautifully balanced out the intense gas.
Taste
This has very savory, fuel-driven profiles. On the inhale, I got a mouth-coating blast of spicy, earthy diesel mixed with that distinct garlicky funk. As I exhaled, the profile evolved perfectly, leaving a lingering, sour chemical flavor.
Effects
This hit me right behind the eyes with a hazy, euphoric cerebral lift just a few minutes after my first exhale. It completely wiped away my daily mental clutter and left me in a giggly, uplifted mood. Before long, that heady buzz melted down into my shoulders and washed over my entire body with a heavy, soothing physical weight. It completely untied my knots and eventually wrapped me up in a deeply comfortable, lazy couch-lock that was absolutely perfect for a chill night in front of the TV.
Final Thoughts
Kynd is definitely one of those brands that we are going to be keeping on our radar. It’s a great budget price for dense buds with frosty bag appeal. The loud diesel and garlic profile this batch of Chem Rider had was simply perfect and because it delivered such a deeply relaxing, hazy, and cozy body stone that was perfect for kicking back and checking out after a long day, it easily earned the Certified Stoners Stamp of Approval.
