First Impressions

I can’t be completely certain about all the details I noticed when I opened this bag of Kandy from YANA Wellness for the very first time. The scent immediately hit me loud and clear, straight to the nose. The buds themselves are incredibly frosty and visually appealing. I am fairly certain, however, that this particular batch of Kandy, expertly cultivated by Cornerstore Cultivation, is truly top notch. It’s definitely guaranteed to set your olfactory senses in a delightful swirl while you’re breaking it down and grinding it up.

Genetics and Terpenes

This Kandy strains' genetics are unknown to our Certified Stoner team right now. Although, it is an indica dominant leaning strain. The dominant terpenes are linalool and limonene and this batch is 2.15% total terpenes.

Looks and Structure

Beautiful looking nugs with super frosty trichomes, mainly cloudy and some amber trichomes as you can see in the macro shot. The buds themselves are mainly green with a slight purple hue in some of the calyx’s.

Scent

A super pungent sweet scent that filled the entire house when I was photographing it. It smells really good and is a textbook example of what the consumers want in a candy terp profile.

Taste

This strain tastes amazing and is exactly like the name implies with a mouthwatering sweet candy flavor that is enjoyable until the very last puff. I also noticed some slight citrus undertones, but more of sweet and savory dessert citrus, not a sour citrus.

Effects

A really nice strain to mellow out with after a long, exhausting day of work. It has great indica-leaning properties that deliver a deeply calming and soothing body high, perfect for winding down. Mentally, I still felt completely in control and clear-headed, with no overwhelming mental sedation. In fact, I even found myself creatively motivated at times, which makes it ideal for unwinding without losing focus, feeling groggy, or becoming overly lethargic.

Final Thoughts

I’m really impressed with the quality of the cultivation on these nugs, they were fresh from the bag and smoked great no matter if it was rolled up or smoked in a bong or vape. The candy flavor profile wave has been here to stay and it’s not going anywhere since it tends to be a favorite for any type of consumer. This Kandy smacks every time and for all the right reasons, from its amazing flavor to favorable effects.
