First Impressions
Who doesn’t love a good Zkittles cross, especially when it’s bred with something as delicious as Oreoz and grown with as much expertise as the District Cannabis team has with cultivation. I grabbed this from District Cannabis, a recreational cannabis dispensary in Hagerstown, Maryland. This Oreoz takes after both parents pretty evenly, let’s see how each category differs…Cheers!
Genetics and Terpenes
The Zeroz strain is a result of crossing Zkittles and Oreoz that is a balanced 50/50 hybrid. The dominant terpenes are a-pinene and beta-caryophyllene and this batch is 2.53% in total terpenes.
Looks and Structure
These Oreoz buds take the looks and structure of Zkittles. Smaller in size, and nothing to write home about. However, they look pretty cool with the excess amount of orange trichomes that seem to be everywhere.
Scent
The aroma leans heavier towards the Oreoz end with earthy and pine leading the way to the nose, but when I grinded it up a bit of sweet citrus escapes reminding me that the Zkittlez is still playing a part.
Taste
Flavor translates heavier towards the Oreoz side on the inhale and exhale. It was earthy and herbal with a smooth spicy exhale.
Effects
For me, the effects sided more with a zkittles high over an Oreoz high. It was mentally invigorating with a creative mind, great for generating some new ideas. I never felt overstimulated, with a calming tingly and relaxed body high that settled in once the mental stimulation wore off. This strain kept my mind busy, which was good when I channeled it with positive energy.
Final Thoughts
This Oreoz is a pretty cool cross that’s sure to catch any stoners eye. It’s some really good flower that I really like for its mentally stimulating effects, but I also found it really cool seeing how each parent strain passed its specific genetics down. Each being so easily identifiable and drastically different. We’re starting our year off on this Oreoz and we’re giving it the Certified Stoners Stamp of Approval! Check this new cross out at District Cannabis to get your new year off to the right start!
