First Impressions
I hadn't stopped into Blair Wellness Center until I saw this Bravado from Redemption that I was eyeing up for a few days. For my first time in, I was pleasantly surprised by an awesome store with an even cooler staff. The budtender was more than knowledgeable and ready to rattle off recommendations, but I knew what I was coming for, ever since I had the Lemon Cherry Diesel from Redemption I’ve been wanting to try more of their strains and I’m sure glad I chose this one. Time to roll up and see what we think… Cheers!
Genetics and Terpenes
The Bravado strain is indica dominant and a result of crossing Limo Tint and Donkey Butter. The dominant terpenes are limonene and b-caryophyllene. This batch is 2.20% in total terpenes.
Looks and Structure
The flower was completely caked in a super thick, sticky layer of frosty golden crystal trichomes that left the buds shimmering. The buds are light green but beautifully contrasted by thin, rusty amber hairs and random hues of purple on the inside.
Scent
The aroma on this was kinda cakey upon opening the bag, which was kinda shocking to see based on the genetics of this strain. I also picked up on wildly pungent, spicy diesel and skunk aroma, with a little bit of a sweet candy undertone.
Taste
On the inhale, I was hit with a heavy, savory mix of earthy pine, herbs, and spicy diesel. But as I exhaled, the profile totally flipped, leaving behind a surprisingly sweet candy flavor that had a really good mouth coat at the end.
Effects
The high hit me almost instantly, kicking things off with a vibe that felt a lot like its Limo Tint parent. It rushed to my head with a bright, euphoric, and surprisingly potent cerebral lift that completely wiped away my daily stress and left me feeling totally happy. But it didn't take long for that Donkey Butter dominance to take over. That heady buzz quickly melted down into my shoulders, washing over my entire body with a deep, peaceful heaviness. It completely untied all of my knots before eventually wrapping me up in an incredibly heavy, sleepy couch-lock that had me totally ready to pass out.
Final Thoughts
I gotta say, Redemption absolutely knocked it out of the park with this crazy cross. Blending the crisp, citrusy menthol notes of Limo Tint with the unapologetically funky, heavy gas of Donkey Butter made for a seriously unforgettable flavor profile. Because it delivers such a deeply relaxing, heavy-handed body stone that completely melts away a long day and perfectly prepares you for bed, this jar easily earns the Certified Stoners Stamp of Approval. If you find yourself at Blair Wellness Center looking for the perfect late-night knockout, you definitely need to grab an eighth!
