First Impressions
I swung by Far & Dotter recently looking for some heavy-hitting indica flower; this was when Curio Wellness had dropped a batch of their Gush Mints. I've been sitting on this flower waiting for the perfect night to light it up, it’s clocking in at a solid 28.79% THC and I had heard incredible things about its ability to completely melt away the stress of the day, so I knew I had to grab a jar to see if it lived up to the hype. I rolled a big doink of this after a weekend of skiing, kicked back, and got ready to relax… Cheers!
Genetics and Terpenes
The Gush Mints strain is indica dominant and the result of crossing Kush Mints and (F1 Durbs and Gushers). The dominant terpenes are limonene and b-caryophyllene. This batch is 2.01% in total terpenes.
Looks and Structure
When I cracked open the jar, I was greeted by dense, conical, dusty green nugs that showed off some beautiful deep purple undertones. I will note it has some premature seeds that started to grow little pockets.
Scent
The aroma on this batch was heavy and incredibly complex. As soon as I opened it up, a sharp menthol overtone hit my nose, accented heavily by spicy, cheesy diesel notes. Overall, it had a beautifully sweet, creamy, minty, and gassy scent that made my mouth water before I even sparked it.
Taste
The flavor profile was off the charts and translated perfectly from the nose. On the inhale, I tasted a sweet and sugary mint flavor. As I exhaled, it delivered a punch of cheesy diesel and a tangy menthol flavor that actually seemed to intensify the more that I smoked.
Effects
The high settled in just a few minutes after my final exhale, immediately hitting my brain with a lifted sense of pure euphoria and a heavy happiness that pushed out any negative or racing thoughts. Shortly after that initial cerebral lift, a soothing body high washed over my physical form, leaving me feeling fully numb and sedated from head to toe. I ended up completely flat out on the sofa watching TV, which relieved me of all the soreness after a weekend on the mountain. It was definitely a potent, sedating experience that eventually knocked me out about an hour before my usual bedtime. I highly recommend having some munchies on hand for this one, too.

Curio Wellness delivered an absolutely top-tier indica delight with this drop. If you are looking for a strain to help you kick back, mellow out, and eventually crash after dinner, this is the perfect choice. Because of its incredible flavor, aroma and deeply soothing, sedating effects that completely erased my insomnia, this batch of Gush Mints easily earned the Certified Stoners Stamp of Approval!
